If I currently have a full time job, can I apply for the mesh certified permit?

Yes, you just need to provide a NOC letter from your sponsor and/or employer.

What is mesh Certified Permit?

mesh issues Certified Permit to “Skilled Independent Professionals” in the UAE.

The mesh Certified Permit allows it holders to work independently anywhere in the UAE.

The certificate holder can work with employers, conduct business transactions and work at UAE businesses onsite or offsite.

The certified permit will allow the freelancers to work with Government, Private, Semi-government and any type of business.

The mesh Certified Permit is not a sector specific permit, it is a general permit for all activities for any Skilled Independent Professionals.

How to apply for mesh certified permit?

mesh conducts a thorough vetting process for all its applicants prior to issuing the mesh Certified Permit. The process can take up to two weeks.

The application process is done online Only by using the online form.

Applicants are requested to submit the following Documents:

  • Valid Passport Copy
  • Personal Photo (3.5×4.5 cm) with a white background
  • Emirates ID or Entry Visa
  • Updated CV
  • Portfolio or sample of work
  • Two Professional References (with contact details)
  • Certificates

Upon receiving and reviewing the required documents, a mesh representative will contact the applicant to complete the procedures for issuing the permit

The mesh Certified Permit does not replace any permits/licenses required by government or local authorities to perform certain activities in the UAE.

Is the mesh certified permit an equivalent of a freelance visa?

No, mesh LLC provides a certified permit for freelancers to work legally in UAE.

Am I allowed to work for a company, or in a company’s premises, with my mesh certified permit?

Yes, you may work as an independent contractor with that company and from that company’s premises in Dubai.

Am I allowed to register for VAT?

If you are making between AED 187,500 per year and AED 375,000 per year then you may register for VAT if you choose to.

If you make more than AED 375,000 per year, you must register for VAT.

Can I sponsor any employees after getting my mesh certified permit?

No, you can’t hire or sponsor any employees via your mesh certified permit.

Can I sponsor my dependents?

No, you can’t sponsor your dependents via your mesh certified permit.

What’s the validity of the mesh certified permit?

The permit is renewable on an annual basis.

Am I allowed to use a company name?

No. The mesh certified permit is issued under your name only.
